In the process of continuing to complete, the General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum in Hanoi is opening its doors to visitors for a trial visit and to receive feedback before its official inauguration.
General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum was established by Hanoi People's Committee on December 30, 2020 under Decision No. 5764/QD - UBND and according to the wishes of the General's family members.
Immediately after the decision to establish the museum, General Nguyen Chi Thanh's family began to develop a political outline, an exhibition outline, and an exhibition art design, while also applying for a license and starting to build the museum's exhibition house at 81 Tan Nhue, Thuy Phuong Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi.

Accordingly, the architectural design of the museum building was based on the prototype of the house at 34 Ly Nam De, Cua Dong ward, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi, from the memories of the General's family members with many profound memories that he and his family lived there from 1958-1986.
At house number 34 Ly Nam De, General Nguyen Chi Thanh's family welcomed President Ho Chi Minh many times. Notably, the Politburo meeting took place here on August 6, 1964 to discuss the cause of fighting to liberate the South and unify the country.
The Museum's exhibition system includes 8 main themes: Homeland - Central Revolution, Viet Bac, Building the Army, Building peace in the North, Southern Revolution, July 6, The hearts of those who stay, Family - the journey continues.
There are also sub-headings on Binh Tri Thien in the Smoke and Fire, Agriculture, Foreign Affairs, Culture and Arts, Sports, Guerrilla General...
The exhibition system introduces more than 300 photos, 220 artifacts, more than 150 paper documents, 23 bronze statues associated with important milestones in the revolutionary activities of General Nguyen Chi Thanh; two recreated spaces are the General's former office at 34 Ly Nam De and the working hut at the Central Office of the South, over 100 books written by the General and authors writing about the General; a system of documentaries about the life, career and life of General Nguyen Chi Thanh.
During the process of further improvement, the museum will open its doors to visitors for testing and feedback from Tuesday to Sunday every week from 8:30-11:30 and 14:00-17:00.
In Thua Thien Hue province, General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum, located at 144 Dang Thai Than, Hue city, officially opened to visitors from July 6, 2022.
In Hanoi, the General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum is expected to be inaugurated on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of General Nguyen Chi Thanh's birth (January 1, 1914 - January 1, 2024).
