This morning, January 23, the program "Tet gifts for the poor" co-organized by Quang Tri Newspaper and Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup continued to give 180 gifts to the poor and people in difficult circumstances in Trieu Phong district. At the program, Quang Tri Newspaper presented 180 gifts, each worth 600,000 VND (500,000 VND in cash and gifts in kind). Of these, 52 gifts were for poor households in Trieu An commune; 113 gifts were for poor households in Trieu Thanh commune and 15 gifts were for difficult circumstances reported in the "Addresses in need of help" column of Quang Tri Newspaper.

Receiving the Tet gifts, the people of Trieu An and Trieu Thanh communes were very happy and excited. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lung, 80 years old, in Tuong Van village, Trieu An commune, emotionally shared: “I am old, weak, living alone with no one to rely on, and am a poor household in the locality. On the days before Tet, receiving Tet gifts from Quang Tri Newspaper and Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Group, I felt very warm. Thank you to the agencies and businesses for caring and supporting me with practical gifts so that I can have a more fulfilling Tet holiday.”

Speaking at the program, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Quang Tri Newspaper Nguyen Chi Linh affirmed: In recent years, in addition to performing well its professional tasks, Quang Tri Newspaper has always paid attention to social activities, charity, helping the poor and the program "Tet gifts for the poor" is one of the programs organized annually by the unit. Thereby, in order to contribute to encouraging and sharing with families who are still facing many difficulties in life, at the same time contributing to the locality to well implement social security policies, focusing on taking care of people's lives, especially policy households, poor households, people with disabilities, lonely elderly people...
On behalf of the local leaders, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trieu Phong district, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of Trieu Phong district Party Committee Tran Viet Dung sent his deep thanks to Quang Tri Newspaper and Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Corporation for accompanying the locality for many years to implement the meaningful program of giving "Tet gifts to the poor" on the occasion of Tet holiday.
