People's Army Newspaper celebrates 30th anniversary of publishing Events and Witnesses Monthly

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Doan Xuan Bo - Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper recalled the memorable milestones in the formation and development process of the People's Army Newspaper, as well as of the Monthly Magazines Events and Witnesses.

On March 10, 1994, the special issue of Events and Witnesses No. 1 was officially launched to readers. With authentic historical documents, articles about battles, campaigns, people, and typical places in the fight, national liberation, national defense, and nation building of the Vietnamese army and people, profound stories of cadres, soldiers, and people... the special issue was received, welcomed, and praised by readers inside and outside the army.

Major General Doan Xuan Bo emphasized that the unique features of the Monthly Events and Witnesses are historical documents, people, places, battles, typical campaigns, etc., vividly presented through various types of journalism and the stories of historical witnesses. Therefore, the articles in the Monthly ensure authenticity and accuracy, while being gentle and engaging.

Since its official publication, the Monthly Magazine of Events and Witnesses has continuously improved and enhanced the quality of its content and form. The staff and reporters of the Monthly Magazine of Events and Witnesses, with the qualities of journalist soldiers, are always dedicated to their profession, have qualifications, abilities, and are quick-witted, increasingly meeting the requirements of their tasks and innovating their publications. The Monthly Magazine has built and developed a team of collaborators in all regions and fields, especially famous collaborators and prestigious writers, contributing significantly to the brand, diversity, and uniqueness of the newspaper.

Sharing at the meeting, Colonel Nguyen Dinh Xuan, Head of the Editorial Department of the Monthly Magazine Events and Witnesses affirmed that over the past time, the publication has always received the attention, direction and leadership of the Party Committee of the People's Army Newspaper, directly from the Editor-in-Chief; and the valuable help of collaborators and sister units.

With the efforts of soldier journalists, officers, reporters, and editors, the Editorial Department of the Monthly Events and Witnesses will continue to promote the strengths of a publication tasked with propagating and educating about history and tradition, contributing more positively to the tradition and future development of the People's Army Newspaper as well as the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

On this occasion, the Editorial Department of the Monthly Magazine Events and Witnesses was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Minister of National Defense. This is the recognition of the Party, State, and Army for the People's Army Newspaper in general and the Monthly Magazine Events and Witnesses in particular over the past time.
