(CLO) On March 20, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper held a press conference to announce the 2nd Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper Pickleball Tournament in 2025 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation Day.
More than 300 male and female athletes of all ages, working in many social sectors, will participate in the 2nd Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper Pickleball Tournament in 2025, scheduled to take place on April 19 and 20 at Tana Sports Stadium (Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City).

The tournament is organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day; the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Journalists Association; at the same time, strengthen solidarity, exchange and promote the movement of training, improving physical health and spiritual and cultural life among the people, especially women and children.
This is also an opportunity for athletes, officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers to exchange, learn, improve their health and professional qualifications; promote the development of the pickleball training movement nationwide; and strengthen the family ties of athletes.
The Organizing Committee will award a total prize of nearly 70 million VND along with medals and gifts to athletes who achieve high rankings in all 9 categories. In addition, there will be a number of secondary prizes for impressive female athletes, impressive husband and wife couples, impressive mother-daughter pairs and impressive father-son pairs.
Speaking at the award announcement ceremony, Ms. Ly Viet Trung, Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper, said: "The newspaper is honored to organize the second Pickleball Tournament. This is a tournament of special significance, because we believe that Pickleball is a sport that brings families together."
The editor-in-chief of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper affirmed: "We hope that the second Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper Pickleball Tournament in 2025 will not only be a sporting event, but also a mark of the newspaper's maturity, contributing to promoting the sports training movement in the spirit of Circular 32 of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on mobilizing the entire population to participate in sports and physical education."
