In particular, the site integrates an interactive 3D sandbox, bringing readers to the space of the ancient battlefield, with the fighting spirit of 50 years ago. This special "StoryMap" application connects the past with the present using augmented reality (VR) technology, opening a "gate" to take viewers to the exact locations that marked the victories of the previous generation.

The media campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification was followed by the opening of an exhibition at the newspaper's campus.

With 11 enlarged photos of the front page of Nhan Dan Newspaper published on April 30 of the years 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020, creating conditions for people and tourists to easily access the newspaper's special products.
The exhibition also recreates historical battles, starting from the Central Highlands Campaign with the peak of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign. Viewers can also interact by scanning QR codes to view information about the battles via the website with novel interactive graphics.
In the exhibition space, for the first time, Nhan Dan Newspaper cooperated with technology partners to apply 3D mapping technology to project campaign images vertically on Nhan Dan Newspaper.
This mobile model is also expected to be brought to schools so that students can experience history lessons. What's special is that readers can also project 3D Mapping right at home according to the instructions, so that everyone can relive historical moments of 50 years ago with modern projection technology.

Historical witnesses tell about the special day of April 30, 1975
The program also had the participation of guests who were historical witnesses of the General Offensive and Uprising in the spring of 1975.
Recalling the historic air battles, Colonel Nguyen Van Luc, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, commander of the Decisive Victory Squadron, which raided Tan Son Nhat airport on April 28, 1975, expressed: "The attack on Tan Son Nhat airport with 18 bombs that shook Saigon was one part, but the most important thing was that it shook the enemy's will to defend Saigon to the death, causing the enemy to quickly disintegrate, and we attacked faster."
Sharing about the special day of April 30, 1975, Corporal Lu Van Hoa, driver of T54B tank numbered 843, which crashed into the side gate of the Independence Palace, confided: "The moment tank 843 crashed into the side gate on the left, followed by tank 390 crashing into the main gate and the moment comrade Bui Quang Than planted the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam on the roof of the Independence Palace brought the soldiers extremely intense emotions.

"It was a moment of great joy and pride when the liberation flag was raised on the roof of the Independence Palace. We jumped out of the car, hugged each other, and laughed until we cried. I thought, this is a lucky thing for us to have the opportunity to witness this moment of national history.
We thought that once the country was unified, we would soon be able to return to visit our homeland and families, but deep in our hearts, we all remembered the heroic martyrs and comrades who had fought side by side on the battlefield, who had forever devoted their youth to independence and freedom. The nation could not enjoy the happiness and joy of liberation. In that joy, there were sorrows, memories, and regrets," Mr. Hoa said.
As a war journalist, journalist Tran Mai Huong, former General Director of VNA, author of the historic photo "Liberation Army tanks entering the Independence Palace at noon on April 30, 1975", shared: "The soldiers on the battlefield are "those who write history with their own blood in the fire and bullets". In the great war of the nation, they were extremely brave, extremely optimistic soldiers, determined to complete the assigned tasks for the Fatherland, for national independence.
