Comrade Olam Chanthavilay said that it was a manifestation of the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States, and peoples of Vietnam and Laos; emphasizing that the Lao press and media closely followed and reported extensively on the visit of the Lao General Secretary and President to Vietnam.
Representing the leadership of Nhan Dan Newspaper, comrade Pham Song Ha, member of the Editorial Board, Head of the Political-Social Department, informed the members of the Lao delegation about some outstanding milestones in the formation and development process of Nhan Dan Newspaper since the publication of the first issue on March 11, 1951 until now.
Emphasizing the important role of Nhan Dan Newspaper as the Central organ of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the voice of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, he affirmed that over the past 70 years, Nhan Dan Newspaper has always been proud of its tradition as the political and ideological flag of the Party, as a "historian" recording the stages in the process of building and defending the socialist Vietnam.
"Currently, Nhan Dan Newspaper is identified by the Party and State of Vietnam as one of the six key multimedia media agencies, along with Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, People's Army Newspaper, and People's Police Newspaper," said comrade Pham Song Ha.

In addition, there are 6 permanent representative offices in countries such as Laos, Cambodia, China, Thailand, France and the Russian Federation, showing the priority of the Party, the State of Vietnam and Nhan Dan Newspaper in propaganda orientation, focusing on information about neighboring countries and close friends.
Also at the meeting, comrade Pham Song Ha shared more about some of the challenges that Vietnamese press in general, and Nhan Dan Newspaper in particular, are facing today, such as strong competition from social networks; issues of newspaper economics...
At the meeting, delegates listened to Mr. Ngo Viet Anh, Deputy Head of the People's Electronic Newspaper, present on digital transformation and multi-platform journalism, focusing on current innovations in the People's Electronic Newspaper, both in form and content, the issue of building a digital newsroom, developing journalism content combining technology, etc.
