Protection and exploitation of intellectual property rights in the digital environment

Nearly 100 delegates including officials, experts, leaders of agencies, organizations, start-up and innovative enterprises, lecturers and students in the area attended the workshop.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Ky, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, stated that in the context of a strongly developing knowledge-based economy, with remarkable breakthroughs in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, IP plays an increasingly important role in all areas of life, economy and society. IP is not only a tool to protect creative achievements but also a driving force to promote innovation, enhance competitiveness and sustainable development.

With the theme “IP and music: Feeling the rhythm of IP”, delegates attending the workshop were equipped by experts from the National Office of Intellectual Property with knowledge and skills on risks, challenges and solutions for protection, effective exploitation and commercialization of IP rights in the digital environment, in the field of music, encouraging the legal use of music in communication, advertising and digital content production activities.

Thereby gradually promoting the commercialization of intellectual property, enhancing competitiveness and sustainable development of the creative industry in the digital environment.
