Thanks to its flexibility and proactive approach, the Vu Quang Social Insurance Office has installed the Vietnam Social Insurance application (VssID) for 9,207 people to date. This also makes it the leading unit in Ha Tinh province in this regard.
Despite the hot weather, the staff and collaborators of the Vu Quang Social Insurance (BHXH) are still diligently going to the grassroots level to guide people in installing the VssID application. This is an activity that the staff and collaborators carry out regularly and continuously.
Ms. Kieu Oanh, a social insurance specialist in Vu Quang district, guides Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (Cua Linh village, Duc Linh commune) on how to use the VssID application.
Ms. Ha Kieu Oanh, a social insurance specialist in Vu Quang district, said: “To guide people in installing and using the VssID application, we go directly to the facilities to promote the use of health insurance and social insurance, and then assist in installing the application. My colleagues and I always proactively answer questions and assist in installing and using the VssID application for family members, relatives, and friends. Or when people come to the reception and results delivery department, the transaction officers will guide them on installing, using, and registering for the application so that it can be widely used by the entire population.”
The Social Insurance Office of Vu Quang proactively implemented a variety of solutions to "cover" the entire VssID application.
Vu Quang is a mountainous area, so the implementation of VssID by the Vu Quang Social Insurance agency has faced many difficulties. However, from the beginning of 2021 until now, the Vu Quang Social Insurance agency has always strived and proactively implemented various solutions to achieve the assigned targets.
The Vu Quang Social Insurance agency has actively coordinated and integrated the dissemination of information into meetings with communes, towns, women's associations, farmers' associations, etc., regarding the installation of the VssID application. They introduced the application's features to increase the number of people installing and using it.
In addition, the District Social Insurance Office has implemented many coordinated activities such as: advising the District People's Committee to issue directives to agencies, units, and service organizations to guide the installation of the VssID application for social insurance and health insurance participants; strengthening propaganda and dissemination about the application and installation instructions so that people know, actively install and use the application; assigning application installation targets to specialists and collaborators on a monthly and quarterly basis. Furthermore, training for agents and officials in charge of social insurance and health insurance is also regularly and effectively implemented.
To date, the Social Insurance Office of Vu Quang district has installed 9,207 VssID accounts.
Sharing her experience after using the VssID application for a while, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (Cua Linh village, Duc Linh commune) said: “Previously, using my paper health insurance card was quite inconvenient as the card was easily wet, torn, and the text faded. But with the VssID application, using health insurance for medical examinations and treatment is much more convenient. In addition, I can easily look up information, monitor my participation in and enjoyment of social insurance and health insurance benefits all in one application.”
Through various activities and by taking advantage of meetings and events, the efforts of Social Insurance officials in Vu Quang district have helped increase the number of people installing and using VssID. To date, the district's Social Insurance office has installed 9,207 VssID accounts. Of these, 1,082 accounts have been installed since the beginning of the year (the target set by the province for 2023 is 1,062 accounts). With this result, Vu Quang Social Insurance is the first unit in the province to achieve this target.
In addition to providing guidance on installing the VssID application, the Vu Quang Social Insurance agency is also actively promoting participation in social insurance and health insurance among the local population.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Toan, Director of Vu Quang Social Insurance, stated: “The achievements have created momentum for us to strive even harder in expanding the coverage of the VssID application among the people. To integrate VssID into daily life, the unit will make efforts to implement many solutions for direct communication at the grassroots level, update information and images on social media; and coordinate communication and installation guidance through group communication sessions. In addition, activities such as providing documents, leaflets, and distributing videos guiding the installation and use of the VssID application will be implemented more widely. At the same time, we will regularly monitor the implementation and summarize the results to make necessary adjustments to further promote application installation. We will also continue to direct staff to coordinate with collection service organizations to increase the installation and registration of accounts for participants in health insurance and social insurance, aiming to make the application as widely available as possible.”
