Authorities increase inspection and strictly handle cases of alcohol concentration violations.

On the night of April 15, 2025, while the working group of Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Y, officers of the Traffic Police Department and Mobile Police officers were performing patrol and control duties, they heard a citizen report that a woman showed signs of fatigue and difficulty breathing while performing.

In the face of the emergency, Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Y and his officers and soldiers quickly used a special vehicle with priority sirens to take the woman to Tay Ninh General Hospital for emergency treatment. The timely assistance to people in emergency situations demonstrated the sense of responsibility of the Traffic Police force, ready to be present when the people need it. It can be seen that, "When people need it, the Traffic Police are there, where people are in need, the Traffic Police are there" is not only a slogan but also a specific action in each assigned task of the Traffic Police force.

To ensure traffic safety and order on each route, the Traffic Police Department proactively reviews key routes and areas, from which it plans to arrange and assign appropriate forces. The unit focuses on coordinating with functional agencies to propagate and mobilize people to voluntarily comply with the law when participating in traffic, especially implementing the traffic culture of "don't drive after drinking alcohol", not carrying oversized, overloaded, or exceeding the prescribed number of people.

Ensuring traffic safety and order on the occasion of April 30 and May 1 is one of the tasks that the Traffic Police Department pays special attention to. In 2025, many activities will take place nationwide as well as in the province to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification. To prevent traffic accidents and traffic jams, the Traffic Police Department will advise the Provincial Police Department on a plan to conduct general inspections and handle violations of traffic safety and order in the province, and develop plans and options to lead a delegation of high-ranking leaders to Tay Ninh to attend the ceremony.

The unit mobilized the maximum force to participate in the on-duty throughout the holiday to resolutely implement the topics of ensuring traffic order and safety, strengthen coordination with the Commune Police to patrol, control, and handle administrative violations on traffic routes, focusing on handling behaviors that are the main causes of traffic accidents in the province such as: violations of alcohol concentration, speed, load, lane violations, road sections, failure to comply with traffic lights and use of documents not issued by competent authorities... In particular, focusing on checking passenger transport vehicles and personal vehicles traveling in the province during rush hours.
