There is still more than a month to go until the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, a time when purchasing power often increases sharply in cycles. To meet this demand, businesses and production and trading units in Thanh Hoa province are actively producing and importing goods to serve consumers. Along with that, functional sectors and localities are also implementing measures to ensure the supply of goods, closely monitoring and supervising circulation and distribution in the market.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the demand for goods during the end of the year and the Lunar New Year 2025 is expected to increase by about 20%, depending on each group of goods. To prepare the supply of essential goods, traders and suppliers in the province are urgently planning for storage and distribution. It is expected that more than 20,000 billion VND of essential goods will be stored to meet people's shopping and consumption needs during the Tet holiday.

After more than 5 years of presence in the market, Long To Plaza Supermarket has gradually affirmed its position as one of the modern and reliable shopping destinations in Nong Cong district. The supermarket not only meets the increasing consumption needs of the people but also contributes significantly to promoting the consumption of domestic products, especially high-quality Vietnamese goods. During this year's Tet holiday, the supermarket has focused on increasing its storage capacity and supply of goods, committed to fully and promptly meeting the shopping needs of customers, along with many attractive promotional programs to best serve the local people. Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong, the supermarket's sales manager, said: "This year, the supermarket has invested about 8 billion VND to stock up on goods, focusing on product groups such as dry food, confectionery, beer, wine, soft drinks, frozen food and fashion clothes. All are high-quality Vietnamese products, with contracts signed with reputable suppliers and businesses in and outside the province. In addition, the supermarket also cooperates with a number of localities to put OCOP products on sale, in order to meet the diverse needs of consumers and support the promotion of local specialties."

As one of the largest shopping centers in the province, Go! Thanh Hoa has started implementing a plan to stockpile goods to serve the shopping needs of the 2025 Lunar New Year. The supermarket has proactively imported a large quantity of products early, including fresh food, processed food, household goods, clothing and other consumer products. At the same time, it has established long-term contracts with suppliers inside and outside the province to ensure uninterrupted supply of goods throughout the Tet season. In addition to focusing on stockpiling goods, Go! Thanh Hoa has also launched many attractive Tet promotion programs. The highlight of the program is the beautifully designed Tet gift packages with a variety of prices, suitable for many customers from households to businesses. The supermarket also applies strong discounts on hundreds of essential items, especially fresh foods such as pork, chicken, seafood, vegetables and Tet candies. Household goods such as pots, pans, dishes and Tet decorations are also discounted, helping consumers save money to prepare for a full Tet season.

In addition, Go! Thanh Hoa also set up a separate area for Tet products such as jam, melon seeds, wine, gift baskets, which are brightly decorated, creating a traditional Tet atmosphere and bringing convenience to customers when shopping. The supermarket also promotes home delivery services, online shopping consultation via application and hotline, helping consumers easily choose and receive goods quickly and conveniently. This is an effective solution to meet shopping needs during peak days, while minimizing overload at checkout counters.

It is known that Thanh Hoa currently has a diverse retail distribution system, including 389 markets, 27 supermarkets, 2 large shopping malls and more than 500 food stores. To ensure a stable supply of goods for the Lunar New Year 2025, the Department of Industry and Trade has implemented measures to proactively regulate supply and demand and stabilize the market in the last month of 2024 as well as throughout the Tet holiday. The Department has sent documents to departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and enterprises in the province, requesting close coordination to implement appropriate solutions. At the same time, it is requested that production and business enterprises actively participate in market stabilization activities, organize trade promotion programs and participate in the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods". One of the outstanding activities in this plan is to organize mobile Vietnamese sales sessions in rural, remote and isolated areas, helping people easily access quality products during Tet.

To closely monitor the supply-demand situation and control price fluctuations, the Department of Industry and Trade is coordinating with relevant units to survey people's shopping needs and prepare goods at business establishments before, during and after Tet. At the same time, coordinating with competent agencies to prevent smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property violations, ensuring a healthy and safe Tet market for consumers.
