Ensuring forest management and protection on Son Tra peninsula

On the afternoon of April 11, the People's Committee of Son Tra district held a conference to review the work of forest management, protection, and forest fire prevention and fighting in 2024; and deploy tasks for 2025. According to the report at the conference, the work of forest management, protection, and forest fire prevention and fighting in the district has many positive changes; State management of forests and forestry land has been deployed synchronously, effectively implementing the motto of protecting forests at the root.

At the same time, 12 mobile propaganda campaigns on legal regulations on wildlife protection, forest fire prevention and fighting were organized on roads in residential areas and on Son Tra peninsula; legal propaganda conferences were organized for communities living along the forest; 365 leaflets on legal regulations on wildlife protection were printed and distributed.

In 2025, Son Tra district will focus on leading and directing the implementation of goals, viewpoints, tasks, and solutions on forest management, protection, and development with many synchronous solutions. In particular, focusing on disseminating laws on forest protection and development, forest fire prevention and fighting; regularly organizing forest inspections and sweeps; organizing patrols and checkpoints on traffic routes on the peninsula; promptly and strictly handling forestry violations, not allowing them to persist. In forest fire prevention and fighting, continue to implement the "4 on-site" motto (command, force, means, logistics); check and clear vegetation before the hot season; strengthen inspection, supervision, and management of fire sources in forested areas...
