On September 12, Moscow said that the decision by Western countries to allow Ukraine to use long-range weapons to attack deep into Russian territory is only a matter of days.

Previously, on September 11, The Guardian reported that the British government had decided to allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow missiles to attack targets in Russia.
According to the newspaper, it is not known exactly when the UK will make an official announcement, but it certainly will not be on September 13, during a meeting between British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and US President Joe Biden in Washington.
In addition, this source pointed out that the joint visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and British Foreign Secretary David Lammy to Kiev on September 11 would not have taken place "without the approval decision regarding the use of Storm Shadow".
Storm Shadow is a cruise missile with a range of about 560 km. The British government has not commented on the information.
On September 12, the head of the Federation Council Committee on Information Policy and Cooperation with the Media, Alexei Pushkov, posted on Telegram: "The leak of information through the Guardian newspaper is not accidental, public opinion is being guided."
According to him, the decision by Western countries to allow Ukraine to use long-range weapons to attack deep into Russian territory is only a matter of a few days.
Ukraine is trying to convince its Western allies to accept the use of long-range weapons to strike deep into Russia, but the US and UK, the two countries that have sent such weapons to Kiev, have not yet accepted because they do not want to escalate tensions with Moscow.
Moscow has repeatedly warned that if any Western country allows Ukraine to use long-range weapons to attack Russia, it will be considered a party to the conflict.
On September 11, Chairman of the State Duma (Lower House) of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin announced that the country will consider the US and its allies as warring parties in Ukraine, affirming that Moscow will use stronger weapons if the West allows Kiev to use long-range weapons to attack deep inside Russian territory.
The Kremlin also warned that Moscow would respond “proportionately” if Washington lifted restrictions on Ukraine’s use of long-range weapons supplied by the US to attack targets inside Russian territory.
