Participating in the 2024 AFC U23 Championship finals, Vietnam U23 is in Group D with opponents U23 Kuwait, U23 Malaysia and U23 Uzbekistan. Coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his students aim to reach the quarter-finals.

U23 Vietnam is in Group D of the 2024 AFC U23 Championship finals.

To do that, U23 Vietnam must be in one of the top 2 positions after 3 matches. If they pass the group stage, U23 Vietnam will have the opportunity to compete for a place at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The 2024 AFC U23 Championship is the Asian qualifying round for men's football at the Olympics. The top 3 teams will qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
