Hue University dropped out of the leading group to 11th place.
Public higher education institutions still dominate the top 100 of VNUR-2024 with a rate of 83% despite a decrease of 1 institution compared to 2023, while private higher education institutions have a rate of 17%.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology has the highest increase of 52 places.
According to the research team, VNUR-2024 reviewed all 237 Vietnamese higher education institutions through processing big data including public reports, enrollment plans, and ranking data from global rankings.
A total of 193 schools had sufficient data to conduct the ranking. The ranking was conducted through a set of 6 standards and 18 selected criteria, which comprehensively reflected the basic missions of higher education institutions such as training, scientific research and community service.
The VNUR Ranking is considered the first Vietnamese University Ranking published within the territory of Vietnam. VNUR is independent in building data and ranking itself, without inviting universities to submit data.
