According to information from Mau Son Meteorological Station, the temperature at Mau Son peak at 1 p.m. on January 23 was minus 1.6 degrees. The entire peak of Mau Son mountain continues to be covered in a layer of ice.

However, despite the harsh weather, many tourists from all over still flock to Mau Son Tourist Area to see the ice.

On the evening of January 23, many tourists drove cars and motorbikes up the mountain to Mau Son.

There were times when many small roads leading from the foot of the mountain to the top of Mau Son were partially congested. Local authorities organized traffic diversion, directing vehicles going up to the tourist area via Ban Tang intersection, provincial road 421 connecting to national road 4B; for vehicles going down the mountain, from km22 turn onto Cong Son road, to Hai Yen commune, to Cao Loc town, Cao Loc district.

The road to the top of Mau Son mountain is small, narrow, with many sharp turns. In addition, the temperature is still dropping rapidly with thick fog, causing many difficulties for vehicles.

This is the strongest cold spell since the beginning of winter. According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, tonight, the temperature in Mau Son will drop to minus 2 degrees Celsius. The freezing weather will continue for the next 2 days.
