Dem (a 10th grader in Ho Chi Minh City) said she has been playing cosplay since 2023. "I have loved this sport for a long time, but last year I started playing because I was so passionate about it. Before, through social networks and on the street, I saw people cosplaying so beautifully, so I joined in for fun," Dem shared and said that she often participates in cosplay during festivals or offline meetings organized by groups and associations with the same passion.

Coming to the Vietnam - Japan Festival, young people have the opportunity to learn and exchange.

Also during the festival, young people and tourists have the opportunity to experience and try out the typical sports of the cherry blossom country.

Throughout the two days of the festival, the central stage area also continuously held exchanges and performances of unique cultural and sports forms with the participation of artists and young people from Vietnam and Japan.

The space for making Vietnamese folk products with the participation of artisan Le Xuan Tung and his colleagues also attracts many young people to come and learn.

Young people from the land of the rising sun enjoyed watching the performances and interacting on the festival stage.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of this year's Vietnam-Japan Festival, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang emphasized that the festival represents the common aspiration of the leaders and people of the two countries to further strengthen friendship and cooperation, join hands to build a better future for the two nations, and actively contribute to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

The Deputy Prime Minister believes that the festival will attract a large number of people from both countries, bringing colorful experiences about the country, people, exquisite culinary arts as well as the traditional cultural beauty of each country. This will be a bridge of friendship to strengthen sincere attachment, mutual trust, and promote multi-faceted cooperation and exchange between the two countries.

The 9th Vietnam - Japan Festival - 2024 is jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Japan Vietnam - Japan Festival Organizing Committee, taking place on March 9 and 10 at 23/9 Park, Ho Chi Minh City.
With the theme “Holding hands together – From now on”, the festival is a space imbued with the rich and diverse cultural identities of Vietnam and Japan, and is an opportunity to further strengthen the spirit of friendship between the two countries.
