According to statistics from YouNet Media - a social network data analysis company - in just three weeks from March 27 to April 15, more than 173,800 users discussed the parade and march to celebrate April 30, creating more than 1.15 million discussions and 8.22 million interactions on social networking platforms.

Military parade becomes top 'hot' topic on social networks

Interest began to increase sharply from the end of March, when images of the first rehearsals with ceremonial formations and military vehicles were widely shared. The peak was when videos recording formations of helicopters and fighter jets flying over Ho Chi Minh City appeared on TikTok and Facebook, attracting hundreds of thousands of shares.

Data from the SocialTrend platform (part of YouNet Media) shows that Facebook accounts for 55.6% of discussions, while TikTok accounts for 34.6%.

The content that most interested internet users included: event location (25%), event schedule (21%) and how to watch the parade (21%).

Questions like "Where is the best place to see?", "Which areas are banned in Ho Chi Minh City?", "Is there a livestream?" continuously appeared in the comments.

Notably, according to analysis from the SocialHeat system, up to 58% of discussion content calls for participation, expressing the desire to directly follow and cheer for the ceremony.

Along with that, the feeling of national pride accounts for the largest proportion of up to 51%, showing that the atmosphere of excitement and emotion is spreading strongly.

'Hunting for views' early, the coffee shop is 'sold out'

Tuoi Tre Online 's records show that the atmosphere of "view hunting" to watch the parade is heating up day by day. Many young people have made detailed plans to watch the historical event, and cafes and restaurants with a view of the parade have also become much busier.

Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , Le Hoang Phu (working in District 3) said that he and his group of friends had been preparing plans to watch the parade for many days.

"I'm looking for a place where I can see the whole scene. 'Chestnuts' without having to jostle too much. I plan to choose coffee shops located on the streets where the official ceremonies will take place such as Le Duan, Nguyen Hue, Cach Mang Thang Tam...", Phu said.

Fearing crowds and not being able to get a seat, Phu's group planned to arrive from 4-5am to secure a good spot and fully enjoy the ceremony.

At coffee shops, the number of customers booking tables in advance exceeded expectations. Ms. My Ngoc - representative of the business department of the London Corner coffee chain - said: "Up to this point, many seats have been reserved by customers 5-7 days in advance, especially in the early morning of April 30, during the parade viewing time, all seats were sold out."

To meet the surge in demand, Ms. Ngoc said the restaurant will extend its operating hours, opening from 7am to 11pm every day. On April 30, the restaurant will open 15-30 minutes earlier to welcome guests to check in. The number of guests on April 30 is expected to double compared to a normal weekend.

In addition to opening early to serve customers, coffee brands also promote communication with many creative forms. Many coffee shops launch special menus with cakes and drinks shaped like the national flag, the hammer and sickle party flag, and the map of Vietnam.

Many coffee and restaurant chains are running promotions such as 20-25% off the bill for customers. According to reservation management units, to have a complete experience and not disrupt the entertainment schedule, people are advised to make reservations early.
