With 12 sharing sessions, the event gathered Google development experts in Southeast Asia in various fields, many long-time experts of technology startups in Da Nang as well as in the Central region.
This year, the Google I/O Extended MienTrung event was held both in-person and online, lasting 1.5 days with 3 specialized content frameworks, including: What's new in Tech (updating new technology trends), Build with AI (building with AI technology) and Grow with Android (developing the Android platform).
Young people attending the event will be updated with the latest Google technologies such as: Android, Flutter, Firebase... from the multi-dimensional perspective of technology experts of this "giant".

In addition, following the series of Build with AI hands-on events from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand..., Google I/O Extended MienTrung 2024 brings this program to Da Nang for the first time.
Programmers will learn and practice GenAI (generative AI technology) and Gemini (a large language model developed by Google A) directly under the guidance of experts, with learning resources provided completely free of charge from Google.
In the Grow with Android activity organized online, young participants are guided by experts, focusing on development trends and technical updates related to Android technology.
Nguyen Minh Huy (University of Science and Technology, University of Danang) said: “Not only do I get to update the latest information on technology trends, when participating in the event, I also get to practice and experience new programming methods and languages. This is really useful for technology students.”

According to Ms. Janise Tan, Head of Google Developer Ecosystem in Southeast Asia and Greater Southeast Asia, Da Nang has a growing technology community with events organized with increasing diversity in content topics, speakers and formats, bringing many experiences to participants.
The developer community here is proactive in updating technology trends and grasping future development opportunities. With new updates on Google's technology trends, we hope that the event will help the technology community in Da Nang in particular and Vietnam in general to improve their skills, build and develop technology applications for the community," said Ms. Janise Tan.
