The 2025 Vietnam Outstanding Export Goods Fair gathers more than 700 booths, displaying key products: agricultural products, food, handicrafts, textiles...

The 2025 Vietnam Outstanding Export Goods Fair, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, took place from March 27-29 at the SECC International Exhibition Center, District 7.

The fair gathered nearly 750 Vietnamese enterprises with more than 700 booths, displaying key products such as agricultural products, food, handicrafts, textiles, footwear, supporting industries and food processing technology.

In particular, nearly 200 international buyers from potential markets such as China, Korea, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the United States and Japan attended the fair.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that this year's fair focuses on the export strategy in the direction of "Green - Clean - Digital" to adapt to the requirements of the global market. In particular, focusing on encouraging green exports, promoting the production and export of environmentally friendly products that meet international standards. Promoting digital transformation in trade - applying AI, e-commerce to optimize distribution channels and access the market faster.

In addition, the focus is on developing products with high added value, especially products such as bird's nest, ginseng, medicinal herbs and high-end processed foods. The fair also focuses on export orientation to major markets.

Within the framework of the fair, for the first time, “Vietnam Bird’s Nest Space” appeared - opening the series of activities “Bird’s Nest Festival 2025” scheduled to take place in early October 2025. This is an opportunity for the Vietnamese bird’s nest industry to affirm its quality and potential in the domestic and international markets.

In addition, the fair also has the companionship of displaying typical products from many localities across the country including Binh Duong, Binh Dinh, Dak Lak, Dong Thap, Hau Giang, Kien Giang, Lao Cai, Long An, Ninh Thuan, Phu Tho, Soc Trang, Tay Ninh, Tien Giang, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long... with a variety of goods, from agricultural products, processed foods to handicrafts, and unique OCOP products.

Second consecutive increase, gasoline price exceeds 20,000 VND per liter

Gasoline prices increased for the second consecutive time after the adjustment period this afternoon (March 27).

Today is the time to adjust domestic gasoline and oil prices according to the cycle of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade. In today's adjustment period, gasoline and oil prices increased simultaneously. And this is the second consecutive increase in gasoline prices.

Specifically, E5RON92 and RON95-III gasoline both increased by VND337/liter. Meanwhile, diesel 0.05S increased by VND324/liter; kerosene increased by VND406/liter. Only fuel oil 180CST 3.5S decreased by VND53/kg.

After adjustment, domestic gasoline and oil prices from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon are:

- E5RON92 gasoline: 20,032 VND/liter

- RON95-III gasoline: 20,424 VND/liter

- Diesel 0.05S: 18,217 VND/liter

- Kerosene: 18,524 VND/liter

- Fuel oil 180CST 3.5S: 16,902 VND/kg

In this management period, the Ministry of Finance and Industry and Trade did not allocate or spend from the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.

Establishment of an interdisciplinary inspection team on rice export

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Decision No. 831/QD-BCT dated March 21, 2025 to establish an interdisciplinary inspection team for rice export business in the Mekong Delta. This activity aims to ensure transparency, stabilize the market and protect the interests of rice producers from domestic and international fluctuations.

The inspection team will inspect the rice export business of rice export traders in the Mekong Delta provinces on the purchase, import and export of rice for circulation reserves according to the provisions of Decree No. 107/2018/ND-CP dated August 15, 2018 of the Government on rice export business and Decree No. 01/2025/ND-CP dated January 1, 2025 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 107. The inspection period is from September 2024 to the end of February 2025. The inspection period is from March 25 to March 28, 2025.

Following the Government's direction in Notice No. 99/TB-VPCP dated March 11, 2025, the inspection team will focus on enforcing legal regulations on rice export business, strictly handling violations, and reviewing the supply-demand and price situation in the market.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade is also assigned to coordinate with relevant agencies to check for trade fraud, fraud in the origin of exported rice, as well as perfect regulations on rice export in the context of many market fluctuations.

The inspection team will work with key export enterprises, industry associations and local authorities to assess the current situation and propose solutions to stabilize the market. The inspection results will be reported to the Government before March 31, 2025. The establishment of the inspection team is part of the Government's efforts to ensure the sustainable development of the rice industry, while creating conditions for businesses to operate in a transparent and effective manner.

Accordingly, there are 44 enterprises subject to this inspection. The traders subject to the inspection are responsible for complying with the law on rice export business, ensuring transparency in buying, selling and exporting activities. Provide complete records and documents related to business activities, export contracts, and product origin as requested by the inspection team. Do not commit acts of commercial fraud, price manipulation, or circumvention of the law in rice export. In addition, strictly comply with the State's regulatory measures, do not take advantage of the market situation to destabilize the rice industry. Coordinate closely with the inspection team, provide honest and timely information to serve the assessment and handling of violations, if any.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade also issued Document No. 253/XNK-NH dated March 21, 2025 to the Department of Industry and Trade; Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the provinces/cities: An Giang, Can Tho, Dong Thap, Long An, Kien Giang, Tien Giang; Vietnam Food Association to coordinate in implementing the Inspection Team for rice export traders in the Mekong Delta provinces.

Lang Son: Temporarily detained 1.5 tons of pig's feet of unknown origin

On March 26, 2025, according to information from the Market Management Department of Lang Son province, Market Management Team No. 3 coordinated with the Economic Police Department (PC03) of Lang Son Provincial Police, the Anti-smuggling, Trade Fraud and Counterfeit Goods Inspection Team (Team 389 of the province) to inspect and temporarily detain 1.5 tons of pig's trotters of unknown origin, not ensuring food safety.

Specifically, on the morning of March 24, 2025, Market Management Team No. 3 and the Working Group inspected a 7-seat car with license plate 12A-248.73 parked on the roadside in Ban Da area, Loc Binh town, Loc Binh district, Lang Son province.

During the inspection, the working group discovered 75 green pineapple sacks on the vehicle, containing a total of 1,500 kg of frozen pig's feet.

Notably, all of these goods showed signs of being thawed, leaking water and giving off a foul odor. At the time of inspection, Mr. Lanh Van V..., driver and owner of the goods, residing at Ban Phai Village, Tu Mich Commune, Loc Binh District, Lang Son Province, was unable to present any documents proving the origin as well as documents related to quarantine and food safety of the shipment.

Market Management Team No. 3 has drawn up a record of the incident, decided to temporarily detain the goods, including the entire 1,500 kg of pig's feet and the means of transport, to continue verifying and clarifying related details and handling them in accordance with the provisions of law.
