Quang Tri Province Emulation and Reward Committee celebrates 20th anniversary of its establishment

The Provincial Economic and Social Affairs Board was established on the basis of separating the specialized unit for economic and social affairs from the Provincial People's Committee Office. After many times of restructuring and organization, the Provincial Economic and Social Affairs Board is now under the Department of Home Affairs according to Decision No. 1257/QD-UBND dated July 1, 2008 of the Provincial People's Committee.

Right from the early days of its establishment, despite many difficulties in terms of facilities and human resources, with wise leadership, high determination and solidarity, the Emulation and Training Board has gradually overcome challenges, built and effectively implemented emulation movements, thereby creating positive changes in society.

Notably, in the work of advising on the organization and implementation of patriotic emulation movements, the Provincial Emulation and Training Committee always thoroughly grasps the Party and State's guiding viewpoints on innovation in content and methods of organizing and launching emulation movements, the work of replicating advanced models and timely honoring and rewarding.

On the other hand, the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Committee regularly coordinates with Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front and organizations in the province to discover, foster, summarize and replicate advanced examples, examples of "Good people - good deeds", good models, good practices; promptly honor and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements and positive contributions to the emulation movement.

From 2005 to present, the Provincial Steering Committee has advised the Provincial People's Committee to propose the President to award the Second Class Independence Medal, the First Class Independence Medal and 2 Ho Chi Minh Medals to the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Tri province; propose the President to confer and posthumously confer 2,863 titles of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers and Independence Medals to 329 families with many martyrs; propose the State to award, extract, confirm achievements to resolve the regime for 51,180 medals, medals, certificates of merit of the Prime Minister in recognition of the resistance war against France and America in the province...

In addition, the Provincial Emulation and Training Committee also advised and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee to award the Emulation Flag of the Provincial People's Committee to 1,239 collectives and Certificates of Merit of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to 20,449 collectives and individuals; award the title of excellent labor collective to 3,588 collectives, award the title of provincial-level emulation fighter to 2,277 individuals...

In particular, in recent years, emulation and promotion work has not only stopped at recognizing achievements but also become an important driving force to promote creativity, innovation and sustainable development. Many effective initiatives and models from emulation movements have been widely applied, contributing to increasing labor productivity, improving people's lives and building Quang Tri province to develop more and more.

Speaking at the ceremony, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong praised and acknowledged the achievements of the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Committee over the past 20 years. At the same time, he requested the committee to continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness of organizing emulation movements in a practical and substantial manner, avoiding formalities and achievements. Focus on promptly discovering and honoring new factors, typical advanced models, creating a strong influence in the community.

Linking emulation movements with the implementation of socio-economic development goals, national defense and security, Party building and political system building. Strengthening emulation in key areas such as new rural construction, digital transformation, innovation, environmental protection and social security.

Strongly apply information technology in management, operation, approval and reward. At the same time, improve the quality of staff working in the field of TĐ-KT; focus on training and fostering professional skills to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
