The Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee approved 15 draft reports to be submitted to the 20th Session of the 16th Provincial People's Council.

On June 26, the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee held a conference to approve the draft reports submitted to the 20th Session of the 16th Provincial People's Council. Comrade Nguyen Chi Thuc, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were comrade Giang Seo Van, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; delegates who are members of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee; representatives of relevant departments, branches and sectors; Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council; Office of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the conference, the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council approved the draft reports of the Committee submitted to the 20th Session of the 16th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, including: Report on the inspection of the law enforcement situation in the province in the first 6 months of 2024; Report on the inspection of the inspection work of the Procuracy sector in the first 6 months of 2024; Report on the inspection of the trial and settlement of cases and matters of the Court sector in the first 6 months of 2024; Report on the inspection of the enforcement of civil judgments in the first 6 months of 2024; Report on the inspection of the work of preventing and combating crimes and law violations in the first 6 months of 2024; Report on the inspection of the work of handling complaints and denunciations in the first 6 months of 2024; Report on the inspection of the work of preventing and combating corruption in the first 6 months of 2024; Report on the examination of the settlement of voters' opinions and recommendations before and after the 16th Session of the 16th Provincial People's Council; Report on the results of the supervision of the settlement of recommendations after supervision in the field of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee; Report on the examination of thrift implementation and waste prevention in the first 6 months of 2024.

The Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council also approved the content of the draft Report on the review of the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulation issued together with Resolution 11/2020/NQ-HDND dated December 4, 2020 of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Council promulgating the Regulation on policies to attract, treat, and support human resource training in Lao Cai province, period 2021 - 2025, which was amended and supplemented in Resolution 10/2022/NQ-HDND dated July 15, 2022 of the Provincial People's Council; Report on the review of the draft Resolution regulating the awarding of the Medal "For the cause of construction and development of Lao Cai province"; Report on the review of the draft Resolution on approving the adjustment of the number of employees receiving salaries from the state budget for theeducation and training sector in 2024; Report on the examination of the draft Resolution regulating the level of support for people assigned to directly assist people subject to administrative education measures at communes, wards and towns in Lao Cai province; Report on the examination of the draft Resolution abolishing a number of resolutions of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Council.

Through research, the delegates basically agreed with the content of the draft reports. Some delegates contributed comments to edit and supplement some information and data related to the results of the first 6 months of 2024 in some sectors and fields; discussed and adjusted some contents in the Report on the review of the draft Resolution on the Regulations on awarding the Medal "For the cause of construction and development of Lao Cai province".
