This afternoon, December 23, at Phu An village, Huong Hiep commune, Dakrong district, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province to organize the inauguration ceremony and handover of 200 houses to the poor and people with housing difficulties in Dakrong and Huong Hoa districts.

Implementing the policy of the Central Government, the Government and the project of the Ministry of Public Security on eliminating temporary houses, dilapidated houses and supporting the construction of houses for people with revolutionary contributions, households affected by natural disasters, poor households, near-poor households, and ethnic minorities, over the past years, the Ministry of Public Security has mobilized resources to support the construction and repair of more than 17,200 houses nationwide with a total cost of more than 731 billion VND.

In Quang Tri province, with funding supported by the Ministry of Public Security, the provincial police have presided over and coordinated with relevant localities, units and organizations to build 200 houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties, including 150 houses in Dakrong district and 50 houses in Huong Hoa district.

The cost of building each new house is 90 million VND, of which the central government supports 40 million VND/house and the Ministry of Public Security supports 50 million VND/house. The houses are built according to the Ministry of Public Security's 36B prefabricated house model with the "3 hard" house standards (hard foundation, hard frame - wall, hard roof) and "2 stable" (stable land, stable residence).

This house model has been adjusted, basically suitable for the geographical conditions, weather, customs and living habits of ethnic minorities, and at the same time has an effective usage period of over 10 years.

After 2 months of implementation, up to now, all 200 houses have been completed and put into use, contributing to helping people in Dakrong and Huong Hoa districts soon stabilize their lives.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung highly appreciated the attention and drastic direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the spirit of serving the people of officers and soldiers of Quang Tri Provincial Police, related units in supporting house building for poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances.

At the same time, he hopes that the households who are given houses on this occasion will soon stabilize their lives and actively participate in the movement of the whole people to protect national security, ensure security and order at the grassroots level, and join hands to build the homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized.

On this occasion, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung and provincial leaders presented 200 gifts from the Ministry of Public Security to 200 households in difficult circumstances in Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts.
