According to Vice President of the Women's Union of Bac Ninh Province Tran Thi Xuan Thu , due to the traditional cultural characteristics of Bac Ninh, women have a certain role in business. Therefore, promoting the role of women in start-up activities is important for the women's movement as well as economic development. Currently, in the province, there are over 10,000 enterprises, of which over 1,600 are owned by women; 62 traditional craft villages (female workers account for over 80%); there are over 12,000 individual business households in operation (about 40% of business households are owned by women); there are 699 cooperatives, the vast majority of which have women in the Board of Directors, Board of Directors of the cooperative, and THT.
