Comrade Dang Xuan Phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity, chaired the meeting.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Vu Xuan Cuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; members of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity.
According to the Steering Committee's assessment, in the first 6 months of the year, the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in the province was led and directed by the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, and the Provincial Steering Committee for Preventing and Combating Corruption and Negativity in accordance with the regulations, resolutions, and conclusions of the Party, with many outstanding and effective contents and methods. The Steering Committee for Preventing and Combating Corruption and Negativity operated effectively, in accordance with regulations and working regulations; directed and issued regulations, directives, resolutions, notices, and conclusions to implement leadership and direction of the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in the province; directed competent agencies to review, supplement, and sign coordination regulations, thereby ensuring that the leadership and direction of the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity is focused, unified, scientific, and timely.
Focus on leading and organizing the synchronous and regular implementation of solutions to prevent corruption and negativity; promote the active participation of the entire political system and society in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity; direct Party committees, Party organizations, and functional agencies to step up the review and handling of corruption and negativity cases and incidents, ensuring the motto of firmly grasping the situation, carefully reviewing, and strictly handling...
Regarding the implementation of the conclusions and directions of the Central Steering Committee on corruption prevention and control, the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee for corruption prevention and control always proactively lead and direct the implementation in accordance with local realities.
The results of the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity have contributed to maintaining political security, social order and safety; controlling the corruption situation, preventing complicated and serious developments; making an important contribution to socio-economic development, building a clean and strong Party and political system.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity has monitored and directed the handling of 4 cases and 2 incidents; there are 17 cases in the investigation and verification phase related to corruption and negativity, of which 4 cases were prosecuted, 6 cases were temporarily suspended, 2 cases were transferred for administrative handling, and 5 cases are under investigation.
The responsible agencies must recover and handle assets appropriated or lost in 89 criminal cases of corruption and economic crimes with a total amount of more than 12 billion VND, of which 10 cases were carried over from last year.
Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the Steering Committee Dang Xuan Phong requested the Steering Committee and members of the Steering Committee to focus on overcoming the limitations, difficulties and obstacles pointed out in the first 6 months of the year; continue to implement and direct the implementation of contents, tasks and work in accordance with the work program, inspection and supervision program set out by the Steering Committee; direct Party committees, Party organizations, agencies and units in the province to continue to effectively implement resolutions, directives, conclusions, regulations and instructions of the Central Executive Committee, Politburo, Secretariat, Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity and conclusions and directions at sessions and meetings of the Steering Committee, the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity and new regulations of the Party and laws of the State on preventing and combating corruption and negativity; Strictly implement regulations on power control and prevention and fight against corruption and negativity in all fields; continue to effectively urge, inspect and supervise the work of preventing and fighting corruption and negativity at Party committees and organizations at all levels...
At the conference, 3 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing anti-corruption and negativity work in 2023 received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
