The Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Waste and Negativity held its 10th meeting

Dien Bien TV - On the afternoon of April 22, comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity, chaired the 10th meeting of the Steering Committee. Attending the meeting were comrade Mua A Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong chaired the meeting.

In the first quarter of 2025, the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity continued to receive strong direction from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee for Prevention and Combating Corruption, Waste and Negativity, seriously implementing resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Party, laws of the State and directions of the Central Government.

During the quarter, the province issued more than 160 documents directing the implementation of anti-corruption, waste and negativity work. Preventive measures were strengthened, focusing on asset transparency, income declaration, job transfer, administrative reform, and application of technology in management.

Comrade Chu Xuan Truong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, reported on the situation and results of the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in the first quarter of 2025.

During the quarter, 24 inspections were conducted at 66 organizations and 195 individuals, 13 conclusions were issued; nearly 1 billion VND was recommended for recovery, more than 700 million VND was recovered; 35 party members were disciplined. The agencies received 379 petitions, of which a portion of the complaints and denunciations were resolved within their jurisdiction.

In the field of investigation and handling of violations, 1 new case was prosecuted with 6 defendants; 1 case was tried at first instance with 3 defendants. The Provincial Steering Committee continued to monitor and direct the handling of 4 key cases such as violations of land compensation, illegal purchase and sale of invoices and violations at a number of agencies and units in the area...

Comrade Mua A Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, gave his opinion at the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong requested the Steering Committee, the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee and members of the Steering Committee, local Party committees, authorities, agencies and units to focus on implementing a number of key tasks: Continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the directions of all levels; especially the Conclusion of the General Secretary, Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing corruption, waste and negativity. Urgently review and handle public works, real estate and assets when arranging and streamlining the apparatus and administrative units to ensure effective use and exploitation, avoiding waste.

In addition, the Provincial Party Secretary also suggested that it is necessary to focus on directing the verification, investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of cases; focus on handling serious and complicated economic, corruption, and negative cases that are of public concern; promptly remove bottlenecks and obstacles in the implementation of a number of key programs and projects; strengthen urging, inspection, supervision of the implementation and disbursement of public investment capital./.
