Discuss solutions to enhance the role of the state economy in the socialist-oriented market economy.

(CLO) On the morning of November 10, the Editorial Board of the Communist Magazine coordinated with the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises and the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc to organize the Workshop "Enhancing the role of the state economic sector in the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam - from the practice of Vietnam Airlines Corporation".

According to the organizing committee, the state economy holds a key position and an important role in the country's socio-economic development process, creating a basic foundation for the development of all industries, fields, economic sectors and types of enterprises in the national economy.

Through Party Congresses and the country's socio-economic development strategy, our Party and State have affirmed the leading role of the state economy, the importance and key role of the state-owned enterprise (SOE) sector.

Speaking at the workshop, journalist Pham Viet Dung, Head of the Economic Department, Communist Magazine, said that in order to effectively promote the state-owned enterprise sector, it is necessary to focus on implementing a number of solutions to perfect the mechanisms and policies to promote the sustainable development of the state-owned enterprise sector. In particular, it is necessary to soon build and perfect the legal institutional system, create a complete, synchronous and unified legal framework and corridor to restructure, innovate and improve the efficiency of state-owned enterprises.

Research, review and amend the management, supervision and implementation mechanism of rights and responsibilities of state ownership agencies and representatives, perfect the management and supervision model of state-owned enterprises and state capital and assets invested in enterprises in a clearer manner, suitable to the current situation, as a basis for state-owned enterprises to operate, take advantage of the strengths of large enterprises, promote the pioneering and leading role of state-owned enterprises.

Journalist Pham Viet Dung suggested: "State management agencies need to review and complete the set of criteria for evaluating the performance of state-owned enterprises, representatives of state capital in enterprises, and enterprise management. Increase information transparency for all state-owned enterprises according to the standards applied to public companies; research and build a national database on state-owned enterprises" .

At the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Minh Phong, former Deputy Head of the Theoretical Propaganda Department, Nhan Dan Newspaper, said that Vietnam's practice and international experience show that, in order to promote the role and effectiveness of State ownership in the Vietnamese aviation industry in the coming time, the Government needs to give the highest priority to investment in major airports. Allocate more budget for increasing the capacity of local airports, allowing major international airports to meet their own needs by attracting more private investment and foreign direct investment through the BTO form.

Mr. Dang Ngoc Hoa, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Vietnam Airlines Corporation shared that to build Vietnam Airlines into a strong brand in the world with high international competitiveness, it requires not only the efforts of the national airline alone but also the support of the Party, State and Government as well as the efforts of the whole country.

The aviation industry contributes to promoting trade and tourism, but conversely, trade and tourism also promote the development of the aviation industry. Therefore, Vietnam needs to continue to promote trade and tourism, promote national destinations on traditional channels and new media methods, organize international sports, cultural, artistic and entertainment events, host international exhibitions and conferences...

At the workshop, there were many presentations and sharing by experts, scientists, leaders and managers in different fields that clarified the innovation of mechanisms and policies to promote sustainable development of state-owned enterprises. Proposing policy planning and practical support for the aviation industry in particular and the state-owned enterprise sector in general... The opinions contributed to creating a strong driving force for development in the new context, thereby creating a driving force for the development of the Vietnamese economy in the new era - the era of national development.

Speaking at the workshop, journalist Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine, said that the opinions all demonstrated enthusiasm and responsibility, and many of the papers were of high scientific quality. In addition, delegates also proposed solutions to build Vietnam Airlines into a national brand, representing Vietnam with high international competitiveness to integrate and participate in the global supply chain to meet the country's international integration requirements.

"The content of the papers and opinions presented at the conference will continue to be studied and refined to serve research and advice for the Party on the policy of continuing to enhance the role of the state economic sector in the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam," journalist Le Hai Binh emphasized.
