On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and the 100th anniversary of the publication of the work The Verdict of the French Colonial Regime (1925-2025), the Truth National Political Publishing House published for the eighth time this work of great theoretical and practical value by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh.

The French Colonial Regime's Verdict (Le Procès de la Colonisation française) is a political work written by Nguyen Ai Quoc in French, first published in 1925, in Paris - the capital of France, in the Communist International's Inprekorr magazine. The work was first published in Vietnam in 1946 in Hanoi in French, in 1960, first published in Vietnamese, continued to be reprinted in 1975, 1976, 1985 and printed in the book series Ho Chi Minh Complete Works.

The work consists of 12 chapters and 1 appendix, published at a time when the revolutionary wave was rising strongly throughout the French colonial colonies, the patriotic movement in Vietnam was taking place vigorously throughout the North, Central and South, and at a time when Nguyen Ai Quoc was trying to organize the core force of the Vietnamese revolution following the path of the great Russian October Revolution. Right from its inception, the work had a great resonance among the French people and the people of the colonies.

With simple, clear and deeply satirical writing, the work denounced and strongly condemned the heinous crimes of colonialism in general and French colonialism in particular in all economic, political, cultural and social fields... With concrete evidence, the work clearly pointed out the origin of all oppression and exploitation, all the suffering of the masses in the colonies.

The work initially outlined the correct revolutionary struggle path and revolutionary strategies and tactics for the Vietnamese people and the people of other colonial countries; awakened and encouraged oppressed peoples to follow Karl Marx's call: "Proletarians of all countries, unite!" and follow the path of the Russian October Revolution, proactively conducting revolutionary struggles to liberate themselves.

The work The Indictment of the French Colonial Regime was published, dealing a decisive blow to imperialism, first of all French imperialism, outlining the revolutionary path and a bright future for oppressed peoples. This was an important contribution of Nguyen Ai Quoc to the national liberation movement in the world, actively contributing to the dissemination of Marxism-Leninism in Vietnam and other colonial countries.

The work not only has great theoretical and political value, but also great literary and artistic value. The great ideas of the work not only guided the Vietnamese revolution and the revolution of colonial and dependent countries in general, but today still retain their value for our country's revolution and the struggle to protect national independence in the world.
