Ballet Kieu (by Ho Chi Minh City Opera House) is based on the Tale of Kieu by the great poet Nguyen Du, consisting of 3 acts, 15 scenes, recreating many changes with contrasting colors revolving around the life of Thuy Kieu. The performance brings together many special combinations between European classical ballet techniques and contemporary folk dance language but still retains the core values of traditional Vietnamese art, the combination of standard ballet art and new hologram technology (3D projection technique), adapted and directed by Master Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, and choreographed by Nguyen Phuc Hung. This is one of HBSO's successful ballets since its debut (in 2020) until now.
