Bac Ninh commences and inaugurates construction investment projects on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day

On the morning of April 19, at the central bridge point of Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presided over the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony of key national projects and major works on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

At the same time, in 34 provinces and cities across the North - Central - South regions, at 79 connecting points across the country, 80 projects were simultaneously started and inaugurated.

Together with the whole country, today, Bac Ninh province organized 3 projects: Inauguration of the project to invest in the construction and expansion of the Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital; Commencement of the project to invest in the construction of the traffic road from DT.277 (Tu Son city); Commencement of the project to invest in the construction of Tran Quoc Toan Primary and Secondary School (phase 3), Bac Ninh city.

Construction started in February 2022, the investor and contractors have made great efforts to overcome difficulties to speed up the construction progress and complete the project according to the set plan. The project to invest in the construction and expansion of the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital is invested by the Provincial Civil and Urban Development Project Management Board, with a scale of 300 beds and a total investment of more than 491 billion VND. This is a key project of the province, invested in and constructed according to grade I standards and striving to meet international standards. The project is built synchronously, modernly, with convenient functions, suitable for the functions and tasks of the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital after being put into use, including: Emergency, medical examination, treatment and health care according to the needs of patients; Training of medical staff; Scientific research; Disease prevention...

It is known that nationwide, 80 projects were started and inaugurated on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day with a total investment capital of more than 445,000 billion VND. Of which, there are 40 projects in the field of transportation; 12 industrial and civil construction projects, 12 educational projects, 9 socio-cultural projects, 5 community health projects and 2 irrigation projects.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed: The key socio-economic projects that were started and inaugurated today across the country are all important projects of strategic significance, demonstrating the will and determination of the Party, State, ministries, branches, localities and enterprises in creating new development spaces, creating a foundation to promote the country's socio-economic growth and development, ensuring social security, security and defense, constantly improving people's lives, and being a solid foundation for the country to enter an era of strong development. Regarding the projects and works inaugurated on April 19, the Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities that are the project management agencies and investors to promptly organize operations and exploitation to maximize investment efficiency. Localities directed agencies and units to continue to care for the material and spiritual lives of people, especially families who have given up land for the project, ensuring that people have better living conditions and a stable life. The Prime Minister also requested investors and contractors to urgently mobilize equipment and human resources to immediately implement projects, strive to complete ahead of schedule, ensure quality, avoid capital overruns, put into operation soon, and promote investment efficiency. Localities focused on site clearance; guided investors and contractors to quickly resolve procedures on material mines and waste dumping to proactively implement projects according to plan and objectives.

The investment project to build Tran Quoc Toan Primary and Secondary School (phase 3) was approved by the People's Committee of Bac Ninh city on November 18, 2024 with a total investment of more than 132 billion VND, invested by the Bac Ninh City Construction Project Management Board. Winning bidder: Joint venture of contractors Phat Tich - Bac Ninh Housing Development - Quoc Bao with a winning bid price of more than 107 billion VND. Implementation period is 180 days; Expected completion in September 2025.

The scale of the project includes: Demolition of old, degraded buildings such as a 4-storey classroom building, a 2-storey multi-purpose building, a 1-storey kitchen block, a gate and fence, and a guard house on Do Trong Vy street. The new construction includes: A classroom building combined with the main office: 5-storey building, 1 ground floor and 1 attic; A multi-purpose building: 2-storey building, 1 ground floor. Auxiliary works and technical infrastructure outside the house include: Football field; Outdoor water supply and drainage system; Outdoor power supply; Outdoor lighting; Internal traffic roads; Garden; Gate and fence, guard house.

In Tu Son city, attending the groundbreaking ceremony of package No. 13 of the project to invest in the construction of traffic roads from Provincial Road 277 to the Memorial Site of Comrade Nguyen Van Cu (Tu Son city) were comrade Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of the leaders of the City Party Committee and the People's Committee of Tu Son city.

Package No. 13 of the road project from Provincial Road 277 to the Nguyen Van Cu Memorial Site has a total length of nearly 800 m. The total investment cost is nearly 150 billion VND, invested by the Bac Ninh Provincial Traffic and Agriculture Project Management Board. The project includes construction items of 600 m of road and 2 bridges: Trinh Xa, Ngu Huyen Khe with a total length of 173.88 m. Designed according to urban road standards, design speed 60 km/h, cross-section width 35 m, of which the roadway is 22.5 m wide, the median strip is 2.5 m wide, and the sidewalks on each side are 5 m wide. Expected completion date is before December 31, 2025.

The traffic project from Provincial Road 277 to the Memorial Site of Comrade Nguyen Van Cu has a total length of nearly 4.3 km (the starting point is connected to the investment project to build a road to the Memorial Site of Comrade Nguyen Van Cu from Provincial Road 277 through Trang Ha Ward People's Committee, Tu Son town, the end point is at Km4+283.36 intersecting with the old Provincial Road 277 at the intersection of Nguyen Van Cu High School). The total investment of the project is over 460 billion VND from the provincial budget public investment capital in the medium-term plan for the period 2016-2020, the period 2021-2025 and the period 2026-2030.

Along with 79 connection points nationwide, on the morning of April 19, Bac Ninh College of Electrical Engineering and Construction held the inauguration ceremony of the investment project under Component Project No. 5 "Investment in construction, renovation and upgrading of Bac Ninh College of Electrical Engineering and Construction" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Component 5 of the project "Investment in facilities for schools in the Northern Midlands and Mountains and the Northern Red River Delta" aims to build a key vocational training workshop at national and ASEAN levels with modern and synchronous facilities, meeting the needs of training high-quality technical workers associated with the digital transformation trend, the 4.0 industrial revolution and the actual recruitment needs of businesses. The project includes 2 main items: Workshop No. 1, with a total floor area of ​​over 4,100 m² and Workshop No. 2, with an area of ​​nearly 1,650 m², with a total investment of 51 billion VND.

This will be a high-quality training center, directly serving more than 4,000 students/year of the school, opening up opportunities to access modern equipment for secondary and college students, especially in the fields of Mechanics, Automation, Electricity - Electronics, Refrigeration Engineering and Construction.
