Bac Kan is ready for Cultural Week

" Bac Kan Culture - Tourism Week" in 2025 takes place from April 24 to 30 with 8 typical events. The preparation and implementation of activities are led and directed by the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee to ensure implementation according to the set plan. The Provincial People's Committee issues relevant documents and plans, decisions to establish the Organizing Committee, Working Groups and assign specific tasks. Direct agencies and units to develop detailed plans for each activity in the Culture - Tourism Week; strengthen information, propaganda, and widely promote the above events to people and tourists; effectively exploit social networks to propagate and attract viewers; encourage the participation of the community and localities in the activities.

Up to now, preparations from content, facilities, ensuring security and order (ANTT), and practicing for the activities of Bac Kan Culture - Tourism Week 2025 have basically been completed, ensuring quality, attractiveness, and safety.

With the significance and importance of ensuring security and order, the Provincial Police have issued plans and schemes, established security and order forces, increased patrols in areas where activities take place, deployed plans to ensure traffic safety and order, public order, fire prevention and fighting, and ensure security and safety for activities and events that will take place. Deploying security and order teams including police forces and forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level, security and order checkpoints to perform tasks at the preliminary review, general rehearsal and opening ceremony of "Bac Kan Culture - Tourism Week" in 2025 and other activities within the framework of the Program.

In addition, following the direction of the Provincial Police Director, a number of professional units; Police of communes and wards in Bac Kan city; Police of Don Phong, Bang Phuc, Quang Khe, Hoang Tri, Nam Mau communes have proactively developed and implemented plans to ensure security and order in the area, in which Song Cau Ward Police, where the Opening Program was held, has also reviewed the entire security camera system in the area.

Bac Kan City Electricity is ready to provide stable power for the floating stage as well as the event series.

To ensure safe, stable and continuous power supply during the event, Bac Kan City Electricity closely coordinated with the Organizing Committee of the Culture - Tourism Week to conduct field surveys, assess electricity needs and develop a detailed power supply plan for the entire floating stage area.

The highlight of this year’s Bac Kan Culture and Tourism Week is the opening ceremony on a floating stage designed right on the Cau River, through the Song Cau Walking Street - the center of Bac Kan city. The project is designed in a modern style, using high-quality sound and lighting systems, combining artistic effects and unique natural backdrops, promising to turn the Cau River into an “open stage” for traditional and contemporary art. This is also an opportunity to promote the image of a dynamic, creative Bac Kan, ready to innovate to attract tourists.

The new feature of this year's program is the Cau River Basin Specialty Fair with 20 booths introducing cuisine from provinces in the Cau River Basin and 62 booths displaying, introducing, and connecting the consumption of OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, and regional specialty products at the Cau River Walking Street and the Bac Kan Provincial Cultural House yard.

During the Bac Kan Culture - Tourism Week this year, many unique cultural and artistic activities will take place, such as: Performance of intangible cultural heritage of ethnic groups in the region; Exhibition of paintings and photos promoting tourism in the provinces of the Cau River basin. Along with that, the 2025 Bac Kan Open Cycling Race and the Open Pickleball Championship will officially open in the next few days.

Cycling race with new exciting route promises to bring great experience to athletes

The highlight of this year’s season is the beautiful race track, where racers will experience a new route connecting Bac Kan city with Ba Be lake. With winding terrain, wild and majestic natural scenery, this route is not only a challenge that requires endurance and technique of the racers, but also a journey to fully enjoy the beauty of Bac Kan mountains and rivers.

According to the Organizing Committee, more than 160 athletes from other provinces and 50 athletes from the province have registered to participate. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and related units are actively completing preparations from logistics, security, health care to racetrack techniques, ensuring the best conditions for the competition day.

For the first time being held on an inter-provincial scale, the 1st Bac Kan Open Pickleball Tournament has attracted positive responses from athletes. Athletes are diligently practicing, improving their techniques and tactics, ready to compete. All promise to create a vibrant, dramatic and attractive tournament, contributing to bringing unforgettable experiences within the framework of Bac Kan Culture - Tourism Week in 2025.

Bac Kan Culture - Tourism Week 2025 with the theme "Song Cau - Where the source converges" is not only a cultural festival but also an attractive invitation, bringing tourists closer to nature, people and unique cultural values of Bac Kan in particular and Song Cau basin in general.
