Bac Kan inaugurates 3 traffic projects

The traffic projects inaugurated on this occasion include: Bac Kan city-Ba Be lake route; Quang Khe-Khang Ninh route; traffic infrastructure project in the area around Ba Be lake.

The Bac Kan city-Ba Be lake route connecting to Na Hang (Tuyen Quang province) has a total investment of more than 3,700 billion VND, a length of 37km, a grade III mountainous road scale, and an 8m wide road surface.

This is a strategic inter-provincial connection axis, contributing to shortening travel time from Bac Kan city to Ba Be lake, creating favorable conditions for tourism development.

The Quang Khe-Khang Ninh route (Ba Be district) is nearly 18km long, with a total investment of 439 billion VND. The project is an important connecting branch in the transportation network serving tourism in Ba Be Lake and neighboring areas.

The project to build traffic infrastructure around Ba Be Lake, with a total investment of 185 billion VND, includes roads and bridges in the lake area. This project contributes to improving traffic around Ba Be Lake, helping tourists travel conveniently and attracting future investors.

According to Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Kan province Nguyen Dang Binh, the projects encountered many difficulties in terms of weather, natural disasters, complex terrain and geology, the construction site was mainly high mountains, and there was a shortage of materials.

But with the spirit of action "working, not retreating", "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", the project was completed as planned.

Along with other key projects across the country, these projects were completed on schedule and inaugurated to become works to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

These three routes are important in socio-economic development, ensuring security and defense of the province, especially the key tourism development goal at Ba Be Lake.

On this occasion, Bac Kan province awarded certificates of merit to 6 groups for their outstanding achievements in implementing the above mentioned traffic projects and presented gifts to 10 poor households in Bang Phuc commune, Cho Don district.
