Bac Giang: Handling a case of manufacturing goods with signs of counterfeit packaging and labels

Market Management Team No. 3, Market Management Department (Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Giang province) has just coordinated with the Economic Police Department (Bac Giang Provincial Police) to inspect the business household of Nguyen Duc Tho, located in Dinh village, Xuan Huong commune (Lang Giang).

Through inspection, the authorities discovered that Nguyen Duc Tho business household was engaged in the production of food products. However, the packaging and labels of many products there showed signs of forging the names and addresses of the manufacturing organizations and individuals and forging the origin of the goods.

The exhibits and means of violation include: 926 bags of packaged goods with complete labels such as crispy dried sticky corn, dried red apples, crispy dried bananas, etc.; 516 kg of raw materials to package the above products; 25 kg of various types of plastic bags; 25 plastic bags printed with product information of Thien Hong bear cream cake; more than 4,700 stamps and product labels.

There are also a number of machines and equipment serving packaging activities such as: A Fujihatsu Max 30kg electronic scale; a Kitchen Scale Max 3,000 gram electronic scale; a Date stamping machine model DY-8 (to print production date and expiration date on packaging); a bag sealing machine...

The owner of the household admitted that all the raw materials used to package the goods, including plastic bags and labels, were purchased on the Internet. The business hired workers to package them and then supplied them to grocery stores in and outside the district to make a profit. Investigations showed that this production facility had a carefully secured gate, surveillance cameras, and no signboard.

Market Management Team No. 3 has temporarily detained and sealed all goods and vehicles and completed the file to transfer to the prosecution agency for further handling according to the provisions of law.
