Attending the event were Mr. Mai Son, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of departments, branches, agencies and units of the province; teachers and students from a number of schools in Bac Giang city.
In his opening speech, comrade Nguyen Si Cam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized: The Ho Chi Minh Campaign - a strategic decisive battle in the general offensive and uprising in the Spring of 1975 marked unforgettable historical moments for the Vietnamese people and peace-loving people around the world.

The image of tank number 390 crashing into the main gate of the Independence Palace at noon on April 30, 1975 and the liberation flag flying on the roof of the Independence Palace has become a sacred symbol of national independence. The great victory in the spring of 1975 was not only a military victory but also a victory of the will, intelligence and aspiration for peace of the Vietnamese people; it is a shining testament to the strength of great national unity under the correct and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the great President Ho Chi Minh.
On this occasion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presided over and coordinated with the Provincial Literature and Arts Association to organize a thematic exhibition to widely disseminate to all classes of people the value, significance and great stature of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign and the great victory of Spring 1975; the important role of the team of artists, Vietnamese literature and arts in general, and Bac Giang in particular, in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Thereby contributing to educating patriotism, historical traditions and revolution for the younger generation.
Here, delegates cut the ribbon to open and visit the exhibition area on the first floor of the Provincial Museum with two themes. With the theme "Historical Moments - Great Victory of Spring 1975", the Organizing Committee displayed nearly 100 typical images and artifacts, vividly recreating important milestones, heroic and emotional moments in the general offensive and uprising in Spring 1975 - the peak of which was the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign.
With the theme “Vietnamese Literature and Arts - 50 Years of Innovation and Development”, the Organizing Committee introduces nearly 200 images of Vietnamese writers and poets who were awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize and Vietnamese literature and arts works 50 years after the country's reunification. At the exhibition area, the Organizing Committee has placed screens showing historical documentaries. The exhibition will last until May 20.

Visiting the exhibition area, delegates and students were impressed by the images reflecting the heroic spirit of the entire nation during the important historical moment such as the rapid and daring attacks of the Liberation Army, the revolutionary flag flying on the roof of the Independence Palace; and the military equipment of the liberation soldiers.
Here, Chu Thi Vui, class 10B, Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities said: "Seeing the pictures and seeing with my own eyes the mortar helmets, AK guns, marching maps, radios, letters of determination, soldier badges... helps me to somewhat feel the heroic years of resistance of the nation; I appreciate and am more grateful for the sacrifices of our fathers and brothers to gain independence and freedom today."
At the opening ceremony, a painting contest was held to promote and propagate the theme "Peace and Development", attracting the participation of many youth union members and students, contributing to educating the younger generation about traditions.
