Bac Giang: Inauguration of the road connecting National Highway 37-17 to Vo Nhai (Thai Nguyen)

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the road connecting National Highways 37-17 to Vo Nhai (Thai Nguyen).

The route connecting National Highways 37-17 to Vo Nhai (Thai Nguyen) through Viet Yen town, Tan Yen district, Yen The district (Bac Giang) has a total investment of more than 1,452 billion VND from the central and provincial budgets; implementation time from December 2021. The project has a main route of more than 42 km and a branch route of nearly 13.8 km.

Authorized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, comrade Phan The Tuan presented Certificates of Merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in project implementation.

Specifically, the main route consists of two sections: National Highway 37 - Provincial Road 294 - National Highway 17, 28.5 km long, is invested according to the scale of a grade III plain road; the roadbed width is 12 m; the road surface width is 11 m; the section from National Highway 17 - Vo Nhai (Thai Nguyen) is 13.6 km long, invested according to the scale of a grade III mountainous road; the roadbed width is 9 m, the road surface width is 8 m. In addition, there are 7 overpasses on the routes.

The branch line from Tan Soi intersection (Yen The) to Phuc Son commune (Tan Yen) is built according to the standards of a grade III plain road with a roadbed width of 12 m and a road surface width of 11 m.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Phan The Tuan emphasized that the completion and operation of the project has created momentum for local socio-economic development; enhanced connectivity between the districts of Viet Yen, Tan Yen, Yen The (Bac Giang) and Vo Nhai district (Thai Nguyen); and created favorable conditions to attract investors to industrial parks and clusters, and high-tech agriculture in the province.

He requested local Party committees and authorities and relevant units to improve management, operation, exploitation and maintenance of works to ensure safety and sustainability.

On this occasion, 1 collective and 17 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in organizing and implementing the project connecting National Highway 37-17 - Vo Nhai (Thai Nguyen) - Bac Giang.

It is known that this project is one of many projects of the province and the whole country inaugurated on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day April 30 (1975-2025).
