The leader of the Bac Giang Provincial Ethnic Committee informed that by the end of October, the first phase of public investment capital allocated for 2024 had been disbursed over 50%. The reason for the slow disbursement is that some projects in villages and hamlets are facing difficulties due to their small scale and are expected to be paid in one lump sum at the end of the year. The project to support production in ethnic minority areas is currently approving documents. It is expected that by the end of the year, the Bac Giang Provincial Ethnic Committee will complete 95% or more of the disbursement of public investment capital.

The Dong Viet bridge project, which accounts for 40% of the public investment capital of the Management Board of Investment Projects for Transport and Agricultural Works of Bac Giang province, is facing problems with site clearance and material suppliers.

Currently, the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Traffic and Agricultural Works of Bac Giang Province and related agencies are urgently clearing the remaining land of the Dong Viet Bridge project. The Dong Viet Bridge has basically completed the land clearance. It is expected that by December 31, the Dong Viet Bridge project can be opened to traffic.

Acting Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee Mai Son said that although the disbursement of public investment capital in Bac Giang province is higher than the national average, it is still lower than the same period in 2023. Therefore, one of the key tasks until the end of the year is for functional agencies to focus on removing difficulties to speed up the disbursement of public investment capital and capital for national target programs to ensure compliance with the set plan. Agencies and units review projects and programs that are not capable of disbursement to adjust capital plans to projects that require capital.
