Bac Binh: Promoting female members to start businesses and develop the economy

In order to accompany and support women in starting a business, for many years now, the District Women's Union has actively implemented the Project to Support Women in Starting a Business for the period 2017 - 2025. At the same time, the Union guides grassroots associations to review and collect information, grasp the number of members and women (HVPN) who have the need to start a business; promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of women to provide appropriate support.

Ms. Khuat Thi Lan Phuong - President of the Women's Union of Bac Binh district said: Propaganda work on projects and programs of the Union related to production, business, and support policies has been promoted. Along with that, it is the example of successful start-up HVPNs on the information and propaganda channels of the Union, social networks, newspapers, and radio, to spread the spirit of entrepreneurship among HVPNs, disadvantaged women, poor women, reformed women reintegrating into the community... Thanks to that, awareness is gradually changed, potential, creativity and determination of women are aroused. Not only that, women have a deep understanding of the content and improve their level of participation in the digital economy , building online sales channels.

The most obvious example is the entrepreneurial example of Ms. Phan Cao Hong Cam (Luong Son town). When dragon fruit no longer brought economic efficiency, she switched to a new production direction of growing four-season bamboo. Although this crop was unfamiliar with the previous farming methods, thanks to perseverance in sticking to the soil, taking care of the plants, and diligently learning the techniques, the plants did not disappoint people. After 3 years, products from bamboo shoots, seedlings to old tree trunks, and bonsai bamboo all found a place in the market and brought a stable economy to the family.

Celebrating women entrepreneurs.

It is from the competitions and propaganda at the grassroots level that have created the motivation for HVPN to confidently break out of the "safe zone", exploiting the advantages of the family and the land to rise up. This is also a stepping stone for the 2025, the Women's Union of Bac Binh district to continue to issue a plan requiring 18 communes and towns to organize surveys and screen ideas for women to start a business. At the same time, select and send 2 to 3 feasible ideas to the district Association. Thanks to the initiative and firm grasp of the area, in mid-April, the District Women's Union successfully organized the Women's Startup Festival. Specifically, 18 localities were divided into clusters competing to display typical and outstanding products such as wild bamboo shoots, traditional rice paper, clean guava, pineapple coconut, wax banana, dried rice, duck salad, chicken rice, spring rolls, lagu...

Each person has a different idea and way of starting a business, but all aim to enrich themselves, contribute to building the local socio-economy and affirming their position in society. Women's contributions through start-up activities also actively solve social problems, improve the material and spiritual life of the people. In fact, after stepping out of the competition, many ideas have been realized, becoming effective economic development models, and being replicated locally. This is the clearest evidence of the talent, intelligence and capacity of women in the new era.
