Ba Ria-Vung Tau ranks 7th in the PAPI Index.

On April 15th, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Vietnam held a conference to announce the results of the Public Administration and Governance Performance Index (PAPI) for 2024.

Citizens carry out administrative procedures at the Provincial Public Administrative Service Center.

Accordingly, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province's PAPI Index in 2024 ranked 7th out of 63 provinces and cities, an increase of 2 places compared to 2023. With this achievement, the province is classified in Group 1 - the group with the highest scores.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau province saw improvements in 6 out of 8 indicators compared to 2023. These indicators were highly rated by the people: accountability to the people; control of corruption in the public sector; public administrative procedures; provision of public services; environmental governance; and e-governance.

The PAPI Index Report 2024 compiles the opinions of 18,894 people from 61 provinces and cities nationwide; it analyzes the perceptions, experiences, opinions, and expectations of survey participants regarding the effectiveness of local governments in implementing state policies and laws, local governance, and providing public services at all levels of government in 2024.
