On April 4, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to organize a workshop on legal policies on geology and minerals.

The workshop heard Mr. Mai The Toan, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Minerals Department, introduce and disseminate the provisions of the Law on Geology and Minerals, Decree No. 11/2025/ND-CP dated January 15, 2025 of the Government, Circular No. 01/2025/TT-BTNMT dated January 15, 2025 of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment regulating the exploitation of Group IV minerals. In addition, delegates were also informed of the provisions of the decree detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Geology and Minerals.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, the State management of mineral resources in recent times has been basically strict and in accordance with regulations. The mines that have been granted exploitation rights have fully exercised their rights and obligations. In the province, there are no "hot spots" of illegal mineral exploitation or exploitation exceeding permitted reserves.

According to the 2021-2030 planning period approved by the Prime Minister, the province has 44 mineral exploitation areas with an area of ​​over 1,300 hectares, reserves of over 272 million m3 of minerals for construction materials, providing raw materials for key projects of the province, promoting socio-economic development.
