Three leaders of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Ngai have committed violations to the extent that they must be reviewed and disciplined.

(Dan Tri) - The Inspection Committee of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee discovered that the Director and two Deputy Directors of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Ngai province had violations and shortcomings that required review and disciplinary action.

On December 13, the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee announced that it had conducted an inspection and discovered signs of violations by three leaders of the Quang Ngai Department of Science and Technology.

According to the Inspection Committee of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Ngai province for the 2017-2020 and 2020-2025 terms lacked responsibility; lacked inspection and supervision, leading to some Party members violating and making mistakes in implementing the working regulations of the Party Committee; regulations and rules of the Department.

The Department of Science and Technology violated the regulations on advising the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the management of scientific research and technological development activities and violated the regulations on implementing inspection, supervision and handling of denunciations.

As for Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Ngai province, he must take responsibility as the head for the violations and shortcomings of the Party Committee and the collective leadership of the Department of Science and Technology.

Mr. Thanh also lacked responsibility in leadership, direction, and management, leading to violations and shortcomings in implementing the working regulations of the Department Party Committee; advising the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on managing scientific research and technology development activities.

Mr. Tran Cong Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, is partly responsible for the violations and shortcomings of the Party Committee and the collective leadership of the Department of Science and Technology.

Mr. Hoa is also responsible for not promptly advising and proposing to the Party Committee and leaders of the Department in implementing the conclusions of inspection, supervision and handling of denunciations of competent authorities.

Mr. Phan Van Hieu, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, must bear partial responsibility for the violations and shortcomings of the collective leadership of the Department of Science and Technology.

Mr. Hieu was irresponsible, did not seriously perform the duties of a party member, and did not follow the regulations on what party members are not allowed to do.

According to the Inspection Committee of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, the violations and shortcomings of Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh and Mr. Phan Van Hieu are serious enough to consider disciplinary action; the violations and shortcomings of Mr. Tran Cong Hoa must be reviewed and their responsibilities considered.

The Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission assigned the inspection team to carry out the review process, consider responsibilities, and propose disciplinary action against party organizations and party members with violations and shortcomings according to regulations.
