On the same day, August 4, Polish Ambassador to the European Union (EU) Andrzej Sados expressed support for the bloc's sanctions against increasing "aggressive" actions from Belarus.
“All those who carried out acts of repression against society, the media, Poles in Belarus and violence against Andrzej Poczobut (Polish minority activist imprisoned in Belarus) will be held accountable,” Ambassador Sados affirmed.
Previously, on August 3, the EU adopted sanctions against 38 individuals and 3 organizations of Belarus for serious human rights violations, and expanded the ban on the export of weapons, as well as goods and technologies used in the aviation and space sectors of Belarus.
