1. Hirosaki - one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan
The Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival, held annually in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, is one of the most famous cherry blossom festivals in Japan, attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists.
The festival takes place at Hirosaki Park, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot with around 2,600 cherry blossom trees in full bloom. It has also been selected as one of the “Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan” by the Japan Cherry Blossom Association. The 2025 festival is scheduled to take place from April 18 to May 5.

Hirosaki Park features a stunning setting where the beauty of around 50 different types of cherry blossoms blends with traditional Japanese culture. At night, the cherry blossoms and Hirosaki Castle are lit up, creating a magical and enchanting scene.
This place is famous for its beautiful cherry blossom trees running along the moat of Hirosaki Castle, especially the romantic scene when the petals fall to cover the water surface. In addition, the "Cherry Blossom Heart" check-in point in the park is also becoming a trend on social networks.
During the event, there will be many booths selling all kinds of traditional Aomori sweets and food. There will also be many interesting activities such as visiting a haunted house or rowing boats around the moat. The festival is not only an opportunity to admire the beauty of cherry blossoms, but also to enjoy local culture, history and cuisine.

From Tokyo, take the Shinkansen to Shin-Aomori Station. At Shin-Aomori Station, transfer to the JR Ōu Main Line Limited Express to Hirosaki Station. From Hirosaki Station, you can take a bus or taxi and get off at "Otemon Gate - Hirosaki Park" or "East Gate - Hirosaki Park".
2. Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture: Spring Flower Viewing Spot, Day Trip from Tokyo
Located in Chichibu City, Chichibu Hitsujiyama Park is a popular destination for viewing the brilliant colors of Shibazakura flowers every spring. This is a perennial herb that spreads across the ground, showing off its small, cherry-like flowers.

The azalea flowers are attractive with their vibrant colors of pink, white and purple. More than 400,000 flowers are planted on an area of 17,600m2 , creating a vivid natural picture.
When the flowers are in full bloom, the whole area is covered with colorful flower carpets, creating a beautiful, enchanting scene.
With the majestic mountains of Chichibu as the backdrop, the colors of the azaleas blend with nature to create a poetic scene, captivating visitors.
In addition, during the blooming season from early April to early May, the Shibazakura Festival also takes place, bringing a bustling atmosphere with stalls selling local specialties and the opportunity to enjoy typical dishes of the region.

In addition to the moss phlox, visitors can also admire many other spring flowers such as cherry blossoms and tulips in the park. In addition, the park also has other highlights such as a sheep farm and an observation area, creating an ideal space for walking and enjoying the spring atmosphere. The beautiful scenery with the brilliant moss phlox flowers combined with the poetic nature of Chichibu city will be the perfect destination for family picnics or romantic dates.

3. Expo '70 Commemorative Park in Osaka: Cherry Blossom Viewing Destination That's Gaining Attention from Around the World
Expo '70 Commemorative Park was built on the site of the 1970 Japan World Exposition (Osaka Expo). With an area of about 260 hectares, this place not only has rich natural scenery but also many cultural facilities and areas for sports activities.

The Expo '70 Commemorative Park was also selected by the Japan Cherry Blossom Association as one of the “Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan” and is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot. From mid-March to early April (depending on weather conditions), about 5,500 cherry trees of 12 different varieties bloom simultaneously, creating a brilliant scene that attracts a large number of visitors. In particular, this year, the SAKURA EXPO 2025 event is scheduled to be held and the cherry blossom-filled route along Higashioji Street, stretching over 200m, will be lit up, providing an impressive cherry blossom viewing experience.
Designed by artist Taro Okamoto, the Tower of the Sun was built as part of the theme park for the 1970 Osaka Expo. Today, it remains a beloved symbol of Osaka. In March 2018, the inner area of the Tower of the Sun was opened to the public for the first time in 48 years. In particular, visitors can admire the majestic beauty of the tower in harmony with the brilliant cherry blossoms when they come here in the spring.

In addition, after 50 years, the World Expo 2025 (Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan) will be held again in Osaka, on the artificial island of Yumeshima from April 13 to October 13, with the theme "Designing the future society for our lives". The event will gather more than 160 countries and international organizations (including Vietnam), creating an impressive space for cultural, scientific, and technological exchange.
