Ba Che strives to implement social security policy

Ba Che has focused on synchronously implementing social protection policies, demonstrated through monthly allowance payments and incentives for people with meritorious services, and payments to social protection beneficiaries. Specifically, in the first 2 months of 2025, the district paid regular social allowances to 880 people with a total amount of 632 million VND; paid 84 people with meritorious services with an amount of more than 271 million VND; visited and presented 3,451 Tet gifts, with a total amount of more than 1.95 billion VND. The district has also approved 4 households of people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs to receive support for house repairs in 2025.

Not only focusing on the elderly, the district also pays special attention to the protection and care of children with many practical activities. From 2024 to now, the district has opened 12 swimming classes and 22 talent classes, aiming to equip life skills, prevent accidents and injuries, especially drowning. Agencies, organizations and individuals have registered to sponsor 21 children who unfortunately lost their source of support with a total support amount of over 130 million VND in 2024.

Social security does not only stop at material support but also includes creating opportunities for people to rise up and stabilize their lives through employment. In the first quarter of 2025, Ba Che district registered a vocational training plan for rural workers with a total of 6 classes and 120 workers. Propaganda, recruitment counseling, and career orientation work have also been promoted. As of March 11, 2025, the district has created additional jobs for 172 people, reaching 31.3% of the assigned plan.

In addition, Ba Che also focuses on developing economic models to improve people's lives; including developing agriculture towards concentrated commodity production and ecological agriculture, developing cooperative groups, agricultural, forestry and service cooperatives... In the first 3 months of 2025, Ba Che has implemented 3 agricultural extension models. Thereby, creating a closed value chain from raw material areas to processing and consumption, bringing stable jobs to people. The district also focuses on restoring and developing sustainable forestry economy, especially planting large timber forests and trees with high economic value. The total area of ​​concentrated forest planting in the district as of March 15 is 3,397.5/5,000ha.

Realizing the potential for developing trade, services and tourism, Ba Che regularly encourages economic sectors to participate in service business, trade promotion, image promotion and building local product brands...

Ms. Chiu Thi Phuong, Pac Cay village, Don Dac commune, Ba Che district said: In recent times, ethnic people in Ba Che have received a lot of attention. The local government not only supports and guides people in economic development; creates jobs, but also pays attention to protecting people's health, investing in roads and schools for people to travel conveniently; children can study properly. People's lives are increasingly prosperous.

Thanks to that, in 2024, Ba Che will have no more poor households according to the Central criteria; only 1% of near-poor households will remain according to the provincial criteria. To sustainably reduce poverty in the area, from the beginning of 2025, the district has completed the development and promulgated the Plan to implement the sustainable poverty reduction target, demonstrating its determination to achieve the goal of no new poor households and continue to reduce the rate of near-poor households in the area.

Social security work is not only limited to material issues, but also includes taking care of people's spiritual life. In the first quarter of 2025, Ba Che district directed the organization of cultural, artistic and festival activities after Tet such as the Highland Market, Tan Tien Communal House Festival, Lang Da Communal House Festival, Dong Chuc Communal House Festival and Long Tong Festival. It is estimated that in the first quarter, there were 16,000 tourists, visiting relatives, sightseeing, spring festivals in the area, an increase of 20.5% over the same period in 2024.

Along with that, the implementation of social security policies in Ba Che is also closely linked to the development of social infrastructure. Many communes have mobilized resources to renovate village cultural houses, upgrade commune health stations, expand intra-field roads, etc.

The recent activities and efforts show the concern and determination of the entire political system of Ba Che district in caring for people's lives, clearly demonstrating the spirit of "people know, people discuss, people do, people enjoy" in social security work, thereby maintaining political and social stability, creating momentum for the sustainable development of the district.
