Vietnamese visitors can currently still apply for one of three types of visas to enter Taiwan: electronic, ordinary and Guan Hong.
Currently, Vietnamese visitors cannot use Korean and Japanese visas to apply for e-visas to enter Taiwan. However, according to information from the Taiwan Tourism Bureau in Vietnam, Vietnamese visitors can still apply for 3 types of visas: electronic (e-visa), regular (submit application at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam) and Guan Hong.

Electronic Visa

- Never been to Taiwan to work.
- Must have a return train or plane ticket or ticket to the next destination outside Taiwan.
- Never had a record of violating laws or regulations in Taiwan.
2. Special conditions (only one of the following documents is required):
- Vietnamese citizens with a permanent residence card, residence card or visa that is still valid (including electronic visa) or has expired within the last 10 years from the following countries: USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Schengen area.
- If you apply with an Australian or New Zealand e-visa, this visa must be valid.
- Have a residence card issued by Taiwan within the past 10 years and have not violated the law. However, this preferential condition does not apply to people with visas with the symbols FL (work visa), X (other visa), P (Quan Hong visa) or residence cards for workers. If Vietnamese visitors have previously applied for a regular visa (visa stamped on the passport), they can use this visa to apply for an e-visa next time.
The e-visa approval process takes about 10 minutes and is free of charge. If approved, the Taiwan e-visa is valid for 3 months. Visitors can enter Taiwan up to 6 times per year, with a maximum stay of 14 days. If the application form is filled out incorrectly, the application can be re-submitted immediately. People with visas to the above countries but the visa has stamps such as: void, cancelled, cancelled without prejudice are not eligible.
Visas are only valid for holders of official passports. Other temporary, emergency or unofficial passports such as travel documents will not be applicable. Holders of work permits are also not applicable.
