Amazon Web Services now offers a variety of cloud storage services.
AWS has announced the preview of Amazon CodeGuru Security, a static application security testing (SAST) tool that uses machine learning (ML) to help customers identify vulnerabilities in their programs and guide them through possible remediation options. The service also provides contextual program patches for certain types of vulnerabilities, saving time and effort in fixing bugs.
Additionally, the company introduced Amazon Inspector, a vulnerability management service, which now provides a unified Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) export for all Amazon Inspector-monitored resources across the organization in industry-standard formats, including CycloneDx and SPDX.
On the management side, AWS announced the availability of CloudTrail Lake dashboards. The CloudTrail Lake dashboards are available with a feature that provides top-notch monitoring visibility and insights from audit and security data, directly on the CloudTrail Lake dashboard.
AWS Security Hub also introduces a new feature that automates actions to update findings. With AWS Security Hub, users can use rules to automatically update different fields in findings based on defined criteria. This allows you to automatically dismiss and update the severity of findings based on your organization's policies, change the workflow status of findings, and add notes.
On the encryption front, AWS announced Amazon S3 server-side two-layer encryption with encryption keys stored in AWS Key Management Service (DSSE-KMS), a new encryption option in Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), which applies two layers of encryption to objects as they are uploaded to an Amazon S3 bucket.
Additionally, AWS announced the Cyber Insurance Partner Program - AWS Cyber Insurance Partners help customers, especially small and medium-sized businesses, easily find affordable cyber insurance policies that can integrate their security assessment solutions with a new, simplified customer experience.
