Audi and many other car manufacturers have stopped or postponed exporting cars to the US. |
As for how other auto brands are reacting to the U.S. tariffs, Car and Driver reports that BMW will cover the cost of tariffs on vehicles built in Mexico through May 1, 2025. Mercedes-Benz is doing the same for 2025 model year vehicles, though it’s not clear for how long.
Meanwhile, Stellantis has announced it will suspend production of certain models and offer employee pricing to all customers, a move that Ford is also taking. Ferrari has announced it will raise prices on some of its models by 10%, including the Purosangue, 12Cilindri and F80. Hyundai has announced it will not increase prices on its own and Genesis models for at least two months.
