"You say that we are allies of Russia. Of course, this has never been loudly declared, but I think it can be seen. In the conflict in Ukraine, we are not allies of Russia," the leader said.
According to Prime Minister Pashinyan, this confrontation concerns the Armenian side, as it directly affects all of Yerevan's relations.
"The West sees us as Russia's allies, they see it even more than that. In Russia, they see that we are not their allies in the conflict in Ukraine. So in this situation we are no one's allies and we are vulnerable," he said.
The Armenian leader added that Yerevan has too many concerns to allow itself to be drawn into solving other parties' problems.
In another development related to the conflict in Ukraine, on June 2, forces in the capital Kiev said they shot down more than 30 Russian missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) last night.
Kiev officials reported two injuries, "in addition, falling debris damaged five houses."
Russia has carried out about 20 missile and drone strikes on Ukrainian cities since early May.
