Argentina is facing a gas crisis after the government decided to temporarily stop supplying gas to industrial plants and compressed natural gas (CNG) distribution stations due to fuel shortages.
According to Bloomberg, the decision was made on May 28 as Argentina recorded unusually cold weather in May, a month before the country in the Southern Hemisphere officially entered winter.
Due to the supply shortage, the Argentine government has asked distributors to prioritize the supply of gas as heating fuel to households, schools and hospitals, while limiting gas supplies to industrial zones, thermal power plants and CNG service stations across the country.
