Many believe that Apple will split the Vision product line into two variants: a Pro model and a cheaper, standard model. Apple is said to have dropped the priority of virtual reality headsets and gradually assigned fewer staff to the project.

The company has announced the suspension of production of the next generation of Vision Pro, but it is still continuing research on a more affordable and less feature-rich "Vision" product.
And recently, in Mark Gurman's latest Power On news, Apple's Vision VR team is continuing to test several different products, including the affordable Apple Vision mixed reality headset, the second generation of Apple Vision Pro, and a smart headset version.
The high price has slowed Vision Pro sales. However, undeterred, Apple appears to be on track to ship a cheaper Apple Vision headset, possibly as early as next year, according to Gurman.
Previously, there were reports indicating that Apple seemed to have begun research on a cheaper Vision device, codenamed N109, in 2022 with an expected price of $1,600. However, the company is still looking to reduce the product's cost without sacrificing many features. Therefore, the device is rumored to appear in late 2025.
