Apple's flagship lines continue to contribute the majority of sales at technology retail chains in the first half of 2023.

Apple accounts for more than 55% of smartphone sales at Mobile World in Q2-2023

It is known that Apple continues to maintain its top position at Mobile World, accounting for more than 50% of the total smartphone sales in the first half of 2023. Compared to the same period last year, Apple's sales increased by about 15%.

Affected by the "price war", in the Vietnamese market, iPhone lines are continuously adjusted down, causing sales to still increase. In particular, iPhone 14 Pro Max has a record reduction of more than 9 million VND compared to the opening sale period and is the best-selling smartphone at Mobile World, accounting for about 20%.

Samsung ranked second, with sales accounting for about 30%. New products launched earlier this year, from the Galaxy S23 series to the Galaxy A14, A34, A54... all recorded higher sales compared to the previous generation. Older generation models such as A23, A33... were deeply discounted, increasing their appeal to mid-range customers and those who are not financially well-off.

The rest are Xiaomi, OPPO... with sales accounting for about 13%. Sales of these brands in the first half of 2023 focused mainly on low-priced products, such as: Xiaomi Redmi Note 12, OPPO A57, Realme C55... priced at just over 4 million VND.

According to Mobile World, the market will gradually improve and may recover by the end of this year, with major promotions in the second half of the year and a series of flagships from Samsung and Apple about to be launched in July and September with major promotions, such as Back to School, Halloween, Black Friday... With new flagships from Samsung and Apple being launched, system sales will grow by 20 - 30% compared to the first half of 2023.
