Most smartphone manufacturers today are using curved screens to create a bezel-less feel when viewed from the front. However, Apple is reportedly not going to use this technology.
The reason is that tech giant Apple is concerned about the durability and display quality of the curved screen area. Furthermore, using a flat screen would be more suitable for equipping the camera system at the bottom.
According to MacRumors , Apple will equip the iPhone 17 Pro, expected to launch in 2025, with a bezel-less display. Previously, several leaks also indicated that this would be Apple's first product line to feature Face ID under the screen.
Apple is currently actively working to thin the bezels on its devices. Numerous leaks suggest that the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have bezels measuring just 1.55mm thick.
Apple is currently in the process of completing the transition of its devices to OLED displays. After this phase, the company will gradually move towards microLED display technology.
