Most smartphone manufacturers are now using curved screens to create an edge-to-edge feel when viewed from the front. However, Apple is said to not use this technology.
The reason is that the technology giant Apple is concerned about the durability and display quality of the curved screen area. Moreover, using a flat screen would be more suitable when equipping the camera system below.
According to MacRumors , Apple will equip a bezel-less screen on the iPhone 17 Pro generation expected to launch in 2025. Previously, some leaked sources also said that this will be Apple's first product line to own Face ID under the screen.
Apple is still actively thinning the bezels on its devices. Many leaked sources say that the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have bezels of only 1.55mm.
Apple is currently in the process of completing the transition of its devices to OLED displays. After this period, the company will continue to gradually switch to microLED display technology.
